Kid Classes by Diane J. Wood

Explore the art of Glass Fusing. Historically, fused glass was made by Europeans during the Renaissance period as well as the ancient Egyptians. In class, we will discuss the properties of glass, dichroic glass (metal plated glass), glass preparation and layering. We will have a small kiln in class for the students to see a firing in progress. Our projects will include a windchime, dichroic magnets, and simple jewelry.
